Linda Wairimu Ihuthia is the CEO and Market Facilitator at Catapult Africa. An organization that intentionally focuses on four thematic areas:
Enterprise Development, Project Internal audit, ESG & Impact Investing and Documentation Processing. Linda and her team have over the past 26 years, worked in international non-governmental organizations, inter-governmental organizations such as the United Nations, financial institutions, and social-profit organizations. Over the last ten years, Linda has run her own successful distribution business within the East African Region. She is also a certified expert in ESG and Impact Investment from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management.
Catapult Africa endeavours to bring interested African businesses and organizations to understand and take part in these conversations, discussions and areas of engagements.
We provide our services by:
- Engaging directly with the organizations and businesses to conduct gap-analysis.
- Working with a diverse range of organization to access risk and exposure, integrate Sustainability Reports while also being well positioned to build capacity around our key areas of engagement.
- Enabling organizations and projects to build robust and efficient internal controls, manage risk effectively to achieve strategic objectives.
Catapult Africa is keen to ensure that African businesses and organizations not only have a seat at the table and also providing the much needed technical know-how to ensure a more sustainable business environment! – Worked with international development organizations and INGOs, managing grants, ensuring donor compliance, and leading financial management initiatives.
– Expertise includes risk assessment, conducting project internal audits and due diligence, preparing financial statements, supporting financial systems implementation, and adhering to donor requirements such as IFAD, EU, FCDO, GAC-Canada, and USAID.
– Skilled in building capacity of finance teams
– Prepared financial statements that led to clean external audit opinions across multi-country projects and organisations in the Sub Saharan Africa.
– Hold an MSc in Professional Accountancy and a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
– A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA),
– Fluent in French and English.
– Country of Experience: More than 15 Countries in the Sub-Saharan Africa.

– Financial Management and reporting: Proficient in International -Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

-Risk Mitigation & Audits: Conducting project risk-based audits and implementing strong internal controls in the pursuit of value.
